Beautiful. Brilliant. We desperately remind them of their worth.
We encourage them to be confident. To believe in themselves.
And while it’s well-intentioned—It’s not enough.
Because REAL confidence isn’t built through affirmation.
A girl can be told she’s amazing every day and still question herself,
still shrink, and still look outside of herself for validation
Because she doesn’t just listen to what we say—she watches how we live.
She’s watching how the women in her life:

speak about themselves
move in their bodies
are willing to tolerate
set standards for themselves
If a girl doesn’t see REAL confidence embodied— she doesn’t learn how to embody it herself.
but even that isn’t the full solution.
Because confidence isn’t just modeled. It’s taught.
The Truth
REAL confidence can be built—intentionally, measurably, and effectively.
In a world that tells us otherwise, we must intentionally:
Develop a strong self-image
Build rock-solid self-trust
Lead ourselves, not be led
Hold our standards high, even under pressure
That’s not something we’re born with.
It’s something we must be explicitly taught how to do, by the women who have come before us.
First, women model it.
Then, we teach girls how to do it— for themselves.
